Here is a selection of the the testimonials we receive.
Dad of 4 year old Anouk says “I think that the gift of her trike has been the single most life enhancing act of kindness we have received since Anouk’s diagnosis – it has made a massive difference to her quality of life and hence to ours, there is no doubt that it has also contributed to improvements in her fitness”
From Bob from Cylechat forum “I can only endorse what Matt says about CFC. They have sorted my lad out – first with a tag and then with a tandem. It may not sound like much, but the impact is huge. He has had a rough time over the last 4 years and the support from CFC has been tremendous. The benefits are increased because there is an outside agency thinking of him, not just his Mum and Dad. I have seen the benefits of some of their other awards too – simply fantastic.”
“Freya is 16 months off treatment now, and can now pedal her bike enough to (nearly!) keep up with her brother & sister! Taking the stabilisers off is her next goal! Thank you so much, it’s brilliant! xx a very proud mummy!” From Mum Rachel.
“Amy’s bike arrived yesterday. She is absolutely delighted. It was exactly the colour she would have chosen for herself too. It was lovely to see her with a big smile on her face after months of illness. Thank you so much to everybody involved. You are doing a wonderful job!” Mum, Helen
“My mum and I would like to say a massive thank you for the brilliant bike you have sent me. I went on it last weekend with my friends this was the first time I’ve been on a bike since my diagnosis last april. We had a great day and I am sure there are going to be many more. Once a gain thank you so much I love it.” Jacob aged 12
“Tom thinks it’s fantastic and so does his friends! He tells them it was specially made for him….thats why its a TMX (for Tom) not a BMX. It has made a massive difference to him being able to socialise with the boys and girls his age, as he is now out with them instead of being unable to join in. He is now 7years old and was diagnosed with a brain tumour at 4 1/2yrs old. After 18mths of chemotherapy it has taken him an additional 12 months to build his strength to want to go out and play. The addition of his trike has been instrumental in this process as it is easier for him to balance and ride and feel secure to enjoy himself and join in with his friends.
Thank you very very much”
"We just wanted to make sure that you knew how grateful we are as a family for the bike you provided for Jack. Using his legs can be something of a struggle for him, even when he is able to he is often unwilling to try and will resort to being carried. The provision of a bicycle has given him a great incentive and confidence boost. Thank you very much for such a practical help."
