There are many ways your company can get involved and help support children and young people living with and beyond cancer. Approximately 2,400 children and young people (up to and including the age of 18) are diagnosed with cancer every year in the UK and with your help we can reach more of these families, supporting them from diagnosis, through treatment, into recovery and beyond.
Charity of the Year
We’d love to be your Charity of Year and we can work together to develop an impactful partnership plan to unite your staff and our community, so that we all work together to make a difference for the children and young people we support. We can look at tailored fundraising activities across the calendar year, team building and morale-boosting activities, volunteering opportunities and local and national PR. Developing a mutually beneficial partnership can really engage your staff, giving them a sense of purpose and shared values, encouraging them to get involved shows your company’s willingness to invest in staff and contribute to something bigger.
Inspire your employees
Why not fundraise for us as part of a one-off company initiative or team building exercise? This could either be taking part in an organised event or creating your own bespoke challenge. Almost half of the workforce (42%) now want to work for an organisation that has a positive impact on the world, according to research carried out by consultancy Global Tolerance. The survey of more than 2,000 people in the UK found 44% thought meaningful work that helped others was more important than a high salary and 36% would work harder if their company benefitted society. We have many years of experience with organising our own challenges and events, so if you need some inspiration or advice with the planning get in touch and we can give you a hand.
Cause related marketing
CRM is a fantastic way to promote your brand and raise money and awareness for the unique and highly effective service that CFC provides. Forresters (2013) research of 1100 people from the UK found that that when faced with a choice between two companies that offered products and services for the same price, 82% of UK consumers said their decision would be affected by whether a company engaged with charities and its local community. This is key, as belief-driven buyers will choose or avoid a brand based on where it stands on the social issues that are important to them. A CRM partnership with Cyclists Fighting Cancer will give you a stronger corporate identity, enabling your company to connect more passionately with customers, gain a greater presence in the community and engage with new audiences.
Easy to set up and simple to manage, payroll giving is an effortless and tax-effective way for staff to support children and young people living with cancer the whole year round.
Company Match Funding
If you have an employee who is fundraising for us, what better way to celebrate their efforts and support them in achieving something meaningful to them and CFC. A match funding scheme can be adopted by any company, no matter how big or small. It can either be done on a pound-for-pound basis, or by specifying the amount you are prepared to give. It is a great way to increase employee engagement, aligns with your Corporate Social Responsibility Goals, leads to improved staff productivity and loyalty and is a brilliant way to gain some good PR for your company.
